The Australian Government ICT Panel Expo is an event run by Finance to showcase whole of Australian Government ICT procurement arrangements. It presents information about procurement panels and other arrangements that can be of benefit to agencies wanting to procure a range of ICT solutions and services. The Expo is being held next Wednesday the 27th March.
The event is specifically for government agency representatives, but this year we welcome the media to attend the opening keynote by John Sheridan, followed by a short press conference and walk around the ICT Panel Expo.
The Expo is in Canberra. For media interested in attending, please contact Pia Waugh on pia.waugh [at] finance.gov.au to arrange a media pass and details about the day. The event is already fully booked for government attendees.
Australian Government ICT Panel Expo Background
The exhibition floor at the Australian Government ICT Panel Expo provides a unique opportunity for procurement officials and IT specialists from Australian Government agencies to engage with suppliers to the wide range of Finance’s ICT coordinated procurement panels and Data Centre as a Service (DCaaS) multi use list.
This year, Finance has organised over 30 information sessions to be delivered by Finance, Gartner, Intel, and various exhibitors on topics relevant to government procurement and services offered on the panels and the DCaaS multi use list. Each information session will have duration of about 30 minutes and these sessions are available to agency representatives on a first come first served basis.
Attendees include agency stakeholders for the procurement of:
- software and computer hardware (including thin clients, monitors, notebooks);
- telecommunications products and services (including mobile phones, mobile broadband, invoice reconciliation services, management services, internet and data carriage services);
- data centre facilities and services; and
- managed print services, equipment and support.
