The data centre strategy team has developed a better practice guide on data centre power, and is seeking comments from industry and agencies. This is the first of a planned series of better practice guides. Other topics may include cooling, fire protection, physical structure, environmental considerations, security and data centre infrastructure management.
The aim of the guide is to encourage better practices and improved data centre operations. The guide identifies areas for public sector managers, such as:
- Assessing data centre performance relating to power;
- Improving practices relating to power leading to greater efficiency, reliability and safety; and
- Requirements of legislation and policy.
We are interested in your opinions on the document and how it could be improved. For example, is the guide complete, or are there other areas that should be addressed?
